NPP Bantama constituency undertake massive health walk

Bantama constituency, known in political circles as Ghana’s Florida, was all NPP on Saturday, October 5 when thousands of party supporters took part in a health walk.

Themed, “The Big Bantama Walk,” it was organised by the constituency office of the party and the MP, Francis Asenso-Boakye.

Joining the multitudes of participants was the vice presidential candidate of the NPP, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo.

Energising Base
The walk was used to energise the base of the party in the constituency and to a larger extent, the Ashanti Region, which is described as the NPP’s world bank.

Traditionally, Bantama has been one of the constituencies where the NPP garners massive votes in every election.

Voting Bawumia
Addressing the gathering after the walk, Napo said what is abundantly clear is that the people of Bantama and by extension the entire region are firmly committed to voting for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on December 7, to protect the gains made.

He said a comparison of the records of the NPP and the NDC across every sector points to the NPP being overwhelmingly superior. “We also continue to demonstrate to the Ghanaian people a clear blueprint for Ghana’s future with bold solutions,” he added.

Mahama Is a Failure
Reminding Ghanaians of the difficulties John Mahama’s government took the nation through, Napo said the nation cannot afford to go back to those dark days.

He mentioned the cancellation of the nursing training allowance, dumsor, high unemployment among others as the legacy of the former president.

Napo called on Ghanaians to be on the look out because the NDC flag bearer has plans to cancel the free SHS in the unlikely event of winning the election. “Ghanaians cannot entrust the future of the country into the hands of the former President whose track record is nothing to write home about,” he stated.
