Manasseh in trouble; Ibrahim Mahama tells him to delete portions of his latest book or face legal action

Investigative journalist Manasseh Awuni Azure has been given a seven-day ultimatum by businessmen Ibrahim Mahama to delete pages 98 to 99 from his latest book, titled “The President Ghana Never Got.”

Ibrahim, bother of former President John Mahama notes with concern that the content of those two pages were false and should not be made to stand.

His concerns were contained in a letter dated Thursday, August 22, 2024, signed by his Solicitors – Robert Smith Law Group, and signed by Bobby Banson Esq.

The letter clarifies that Ibrahim was never personally indebted to Universal Merchant Bank, formerly Merchant Bank as the book stated. Instead, his company, Engineers and Planners, had dealings with the bank and paid off all its debt prior to the bank’s challenges and sale.

The letter states that the emphatic representations in the said pages of the book by the author have no basis. “We write as solicitors for Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and have instructions from our client to write to you (Manasseh Awuni Azure) regarding the above subject matter,” the letter said.
