NAPO admonishes Christians to stand as beacons of peace and unity as elections approach

The NPP presidential running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has urged Christians to stand as beacons of peace and unity as the nation approaches the December elections.

He said elections must bind the country together rather than divide it.

He was speaking as the Guest of Honour at the opening of the 13th Biennial Conference and 40th Anniversary of the Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowships on Saturday.

No division
“Elections should not divide us; they should remind us of the strength in our diversity and the collective responsibility we share in shaping the future of our nation,” Dr Prempeh, affectionately called Napo said.

Religious harmony
The NPP running mate emphasized the need for religious harmony where all the people live in peaceful co-existence with one another, irrespective of their religious persuasions. He said advancing a common cause for shared prosperity and progress is essential for national development.
