NDC crashes at IPAC meeting; Parties say no need for forensic audit of voters register

The NDC has come under heavy criticisms by the other political parties for their intransigent position on the electoral register.

The main opposition party has for some time now declared the voters register unfit for purpose and called for a forensic audit of the register ahead of the December 7 elections.

To back their demands, the NDC followed up with a nationwide demonstration.

But, at an emergency IPAC meeting in Accra on Tuesday, October 1, the EC took time to explain the work they have done on the voters register, which received applause from the other political parties.

Apparently, when the NDC’s Director of Elections and IT, Dr Omane Boamah was given the opportunity to explain their position, he was a complete mess, and made a mockery of himself and his party as he fumbled and tumbled.

The other political parties asked the NDC to shut up and allow the EC to do its work.
