45 Agenda 111 Hospitals to be commissioned before end of year – Miracles Aboagye

The spokesperson for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has announced that a significant milestone has been reached in the Agenda 111 initiative, with over forty hospitals constructed and ready for opening.

This revelation came during his appearance on Joy News’s AM Show with Benjamin Akakpo on November 4, 2024, where he confirmed that these facilities are fully built and prepared to commence operations.

Aboagye stated, “Between 45 and 47 of them will be opened by the end of the year,” indicating a swift progression towards making these healthcare facilities operational.

He highlighted that the majority of these hospitals are nearing the completion of their equipment installation, with approximately five of them situated in the Ashanti Region, a key area in Ghana’s healthcare landscape.

The spokesperson underscored Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to ensuring the completion of the remaining projects if he is elected in the upcoming elections.

The Agenda 111 initiative, which aims to construct a total of 104 major hospitals across the nation, represents a substantial investment in Ghana’s healthcare infrastructure, with an estimated cost of around $7.65 billion.

This ambitious project, recognized as Ghana’s Priority Health Infrastructure Projects, is designed to significantly enhance the quality of healthcare services available to citizens.

The initiative encompasses the establishment of seven regional hospitals, two regional psychiatric hospitals catering to the northern and middle belt regions, and a new national psychiatric hospital located in Accra.

By expanding healthcare access and improving facilities, the government aims to address the pressing health needs of the population and ensure that quality medical care is available to all Ghanaians.

Aboagye’s statements reflect a broader vision for a healthier future, emphasizing the importance of these developments in the context of national health policy and infrastructure improvement.
