Gov’t Committed to IP Protection, Sam George Tells Bimbo Ademoye

Hon. Sam George, Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, has weighed in on the piracy row involving Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye and some Ghanaian TV stations.

The controversy began when Ghanaian media personality and plus-size advocate Miz Debbie posted a video defending the unauthorized airing of Bimbo’s movies, which Bimbo then reposted, tagging both Sam George and Kafui Danku CEO of National Film Authority. In her caption, she accused Miz Debbie of “supporting theft” and called on authorities to act.

I believe Ghana and Nigeria have so much we can continue to collaborate on for our mutual benefit.” he wrote.
